Saddened news as the Malaysian Indian community loses a great soul.
According to Bernama, Special Officer for Indian Affairs, Datuk Seri Ramesh Rao, 52, passed away on 14 January 2023. His sudden demise happened at his home in Petaling Jaya and was reported due to a heart attack.

Ramesh is known as a man who actively strives for the improvement of society in this country, notably the Indian community.
Last year, on the 24th of December 2022, Ramesh Rao, who was the president of Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin was also appointed as a Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister to look into the problems and interests of the Indian community.
In a statement, Ahmad Zahid expressed his condolences to Ramesh Rao’s family and his appreciation for his services and contributions to the community and the country before and when holding the post.
Whereas Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his condolences to the family of Ramesh Rao and tweeted, -Hopefully, they will be patient in their moment of grief.
