Yogi Babu’s upcoming film “Boat” released its second single on Friday. Titled ‘Thakida Thadhimi’, the song features vocals by veteran singer Deva and lyrics penned by Gold Devaraj. Yogi Babu, renowned for his versatility as both an actor and comedian in Kollywood, has a packed schedule with numerous films in the pipeline.
His upcoming lead role in “Boat,” directed by Chimbudeven, known for fantasy hits like “Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei” and “Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam,” is set to hit theaters on August 2.
Earlier, the first single ‘Sokka Nanum Nikkiren’ was unveiled, sung by renowned carnatic singer Sudha Ragunathan.
In addition to Yogi Babu, the film stars Gouri G Kishan, Madumkesh Prem, MS Bhaskar, Chinni Jayanth, Jesse Fox-Allen, Chaams, Madhumitha, Sha Ra, Kollapuli Leela, and Aakshath Das.
The teaser for “Boat”, set against the backdrop of British-ruled India in 1943 during the Japanese bombardment of Madras Presidency, depicts ten individuals finding refuge on a boat in the Bay of Bengal. Yogi Babu portrays the boatman, tasked with making critical decisions to ensure everyone’s safety amidst a sea-bound crisis.
“Boat” is produced by Maali and Maanvi Movie Makers in association with Chimbudeven Entertainment, focusing on a narrative set at sea. Shakthi Film Factory will handle distribution.
Featuring cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, music by Ghibran, editing by Mani Maran, and production design by T Santhanam, “Boat” promises a compelling cinematic experience.
