When  “SPB, A Tribute” concert was announced a few weeks ago, we flinched!

The anticipation for the concert is bliss. Yes, who wouldn’t love to listen to the songs sung by the late S P Balasubrahmanyam (SPB), the most recognised name in the Indian music industry.

Aakaar is back with their upcoming live concert which is all set to take place on Friday, 25th March 2022, at Shantanand Auditorium, Temple of Fine Arts at 8 pm.

Spearheaded by the fabulous team Aakaar, this fund seeding concert will aid to further promote and preserve the diverse culture and art through their annual concert.

Having said that, the concert is in the midst of rousing success, with the number of reservations booked for the concert reaching 80%. Fret not, concert tickets are still available due to high demand and the bookings will be opened till 23rd March (Wednesday).

Bear in mind that, walk-ins will NOT be entertained on the day of “SPB, A Tribute”concert!

On the other hand, Vignes who known as the Aakaar’s Art Director has created an image of SPB’s by drawing using the word “SPB” all over the frame. Thinking on how’s that even possible?

Well, Vignes proved that anything is possible through his passion and hard work. Be more than WOWED by zooming the artwork.

The main goal of Aakaar’s establishment is to curate a series of productions ranging from classical music concerts, theatre/drama that provides a moral message, poetry recitals etc according to the availability of related artistes.

Apart from that, this concert will in turn help artistes recover damages done by the pandemic. The 75-minute tribute concert showcase of legendary SP Balasubrahmanyam’s multi-lingual songs by 6 well renowned artists in Malaysia.

Having said that, on the vocals front, we will have a very talented vocals namely Krithika Chandrashekar and Aanantha Rajaram, professional instrument players such as Jyotsna Prakash (pianist), Pangasaasanii Gowrisan (violinist), Prakash Kandasamy and Muthuraman Ganesan as percussionists. Not to forget the TFA Starwell Choir who will be performing at the concert as well.

Aakaar which means – (root and shape/form in Sanskrit/Hindi) aims to spread its branches into the psyche of ‘rasikas’ (meaning : connoisseur) by engaging artistes of varied forte to create artistic pieces that is impactful at the same time offers a different perspective.

See you guys there!
