Highly accomplished veena player and composer, Sri Rajhesh Vaidhya turned 47 yesterday.

Born into a rich musical environment, Vaidhya inherited his indigenous talents from his father Sri K.M. Vaidyanathan, an icon in the world of music, particularly at the mridangam and ghatam.


Rajhesh hails from Tamil Nadu and has performed on stage around the world, including Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Canada, and the United States.

Apart from his blistering speed, in the year 2001, Rajhesh was honored with the title Shree Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Aasthana Vidwan and prestigious Tamilnadu State Award Kalaimamani in the year 2011.
