The Selangor state representative sought to alleviate the fears of a Covid-19 outbreak in Puchong after the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced yesterday that a cluster had been identified in the district.

In a Facebook post, Kinrara Assemblyman Ng Sze Han said that the Bah Puchong cluster was identified from an individual who had returned from Sabah and has been residing in Puchong. He had tested positive for Covid-19 and infected his relatives whom paid him a visit upon his arrival back home.

“He was in quarantine at home, but his relatives in Perak visited him and stayed with him, and they are Covid-19 positive now. All patients are now hospitalised and all his relatives have been screen tested for Covid-19 as well. Stay calm, wear a mask, practice social distancing and always wash your hands, ” he added.

According to FMT, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah had been contacted for confirmation. The ministry stated that cases from the Bah Puchong Cluster had been linked to individuals from Petaling in Selangor and two districts in Perak – Kinta and Larut-Matang-Selama.

The index cases, three people, from the cluster had been tested positive on Monday once they had returned from Sabah. All three are now admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital. Following positive testing, close contact screenings were conducted where two positive cases were identified in the districts of Larut-Matang-Selama and Kinta.

Currently 4 redzones in our country has been imposed with the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) commencing from October 9th onwards. Sandakan, Papar and Tuaran in Sabah and Klang in Selangor will be put under a Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) asserted by Senior Security Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. The four districts are listed as red zones for reporting more than 40 positive Covid-19 cases!

On a separate matter, it has been reported that students from several schools have tested positive for Covid-19, they are from SMK Seri Kembangan, SK Bangsar and SMK Mutiara Labuan in Sabah.
