The shocking news of the horrific landslide that struck at Ampang yesterday (10th March) has certainly shook the entire country. Police have confirmed that death of four victims buried under the landslide that erupted in Taman Bukit Permai at around 5.54 p.m., destroying fifteen houses and ten cars.
Earlier today (March 11th), two bodies of male victims had been retrieved from the Taman Bukit Permai landslide, bringing the total number of deaths from this terrible disaster to four.

A 87-year-old man was the only survivor of this catastrophe, reported The Star.
According to Mohamad Farouk Eshak, Asst Comm of Ampang Jaya, the third body was discovered at midnight. He further stated that the body was retrieved outside of house number nine. Around 1.55 a.m., the fourth deceased corpse was discovered outside house number three.
On March 10, the first survivor was rescued at 6.54 p.m., while the bodies of the second and third victims were retrieved around 9.10 p.m. and 10.58 p.m., respectively.
Having said that, the Fire and Rescue Department has worked tirelessly to browse the area alongside rescue dogs to ensure that no other victims have been trapped.

Since the rescue mission has been completed with the retrieval of the two bodies, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) will be carrying out the clean-up works once it has been verified that no further victims have been stranded by the landslide.
Meanwhile, MPAJ has stated that they’ll conduct a thorough inspection to see if there is any more soil movement in the area. Here are some of the videos that were flooded on social media of this landslide issue;
