The Sports Carnival Programme for Preschool Students, organized by the Ministry of Education for the Yong Peng Zone, was held on July 29th and 30th, 2024. The event was officially inaugurated by Tn Hj Rashidi Bin Mohamed. On July 29th, the boys’ team from SJKT Ladang Yong Peng achieved third place in the futsal competition. Despite being only up to six years old, these young preschoolers exhibited extraordinary skill and talent in the futsal matches. Their performance was particularly impressive given their tender age, showcasing their potential and enthusiasm for sports at such a young age.

The team performed exceptionally well and secured third place in the competition, earning each player a medal for their efforts. This event provided the young players with a valuable opportunity to showcase their abilities and skills on a larger stage. Notably, Sashvindas A/L Rathip, the team’s goalkeeper, was recognized as the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ for his outstanding performance, making an impressive 16 saves against the opposing teams. In recognition of his exceptional skills, he was awarded an additional trophy, highlighting his contribution to the team’s success.

Teacher Allilakshumy and Mr. Hayattudin were responsible for training the students. Training young children and keeping their attention can be challenging, but their hard work and dedication made it possible. The school management expressed gratitude to Teacher Allilakshumy and Mr. Hayattudin for their efforts in preparing the kids. They also thanked the headmaster, teachers, and members of the Parents and Teachers Association for their support and commitment.

Competitions like this can significantly enhance the ability, talent, and confidence of young children, encouraging them to perform better. These preschoolers from Tamil schools have made a strong impression, highlighting the benefits of starting their education in Tamil institutions. This achievement underscores that students with a Tamil education background can excel in both academics and sports. The success of the SJKT Ladang Yong Peng preschool team in the Sports Carnival Program not only showcases their remarkable skills and dedication but also sets a positive example for the potential of Tamil education. With continued support and encouragement, these young talents are poised to achieve even greater heights in the future.

Best wishes to the kids!
