Maybank users have been utilizing the Maybank2u MY app for all types of online services. Recently, with the launch of the MAE app, some users have switched to it. However, Maybank has announced that, effective August 28, 2024, the Maybank2u MY app will be discontinued. Moving forward, the MAE app will be the sole platform for accessing Maybank accounts and banking services.

The notice stated “If you have not yet downloaded the MAE app, please do so as soon as possible as you will no longer be able to access your account or any features on the Maybank2u MY app after this date.”

The MAE app encompasses all the features previously available on the Maybank2u MY app, along with additional functionalities, providing a comprehensive suite of banking and lifestyle services. It includes enhanced security measures through Secure2u, which ensures that transactions are authorized with an extra layer of protection. This transition aims to offer users a more robust and secure platform, integrating both financial and lifestyle management tools in one convenient app.

Note: If you have not yet downloaded the MAE app, you will need to register for Secure2u. After registering, you must activate Secure2u at any Maybank ATM. Please note that a minimum activation period of 12 hours applies to first-time Secure2u activations to prevent unauthorized approvals. For more information about Secure2u, click HERE.

This is part of our ongoing efforts to continually upgrade and enhance the online banking experience for Maybank customers. Click HERE, to find out more about MAE app.
