On August 18, 2024, Pertubuhan Pembimbing Pembangunan Masyarakat, in collaboration with Yayasan Iltizam Malaysia, proudly hosted the launch the ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom‘ website. This pivotal event marks a major advancement in our efforts to support and empower our community.

Mr. Shanmugam Mookan, Special Duties Officer to the Honourable Prime Minister, launched the ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ website on August 18, 2024, at Wyndham Acmar in Klang. This launch represents a significant milestone in our efforts to support and enhance community well-being.

This initiative is an extension of the Prime Minister’s Office, aimed at unifying and enhancing the efforts of community members, NGOs, and government agencies in promoting community development. The ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ platform serves as a comprehensive resource, offering individuals seeking guidance and support streamlined access to the assistance they need. By integrating various resources and initiatives into one accessible platform, ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ facilitates easier access to aid and strengthens the bonds within the community, fostering a more united and resilient society.

The vision of ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ is to build a self-sustaining community where each person is equipped to make the most of the resources available to them. This approach aims to encourage independence and drive collective advancement, promoting a culture of empowerment and shared growth.

The mission of this initiative is to bring together and enhance the efforts of community members, NGOs, and government agencies through a unified platform. This platform offers guidance and support, ensuring efficient access to aid and promoting the development of a more robust and cohesive community.

The ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ Care website will serve as a dynamic online platform where community members can share their issues and be connected with relevant government and NGO resources. It will also spotlight and support the activities of physical platforms and temples across the country, contributing to community development. Additionally, the website will feature a comprehensive Help Directory manual, offering an easily searchable list of government resources tailored to specific needs.

Among their several initiatives is “Panthi Idu Pasi Aatru,” a nationwide food assistance program. This initial effort aims to address the pressing issue of hunger within the community and ensure that everyone has access to sufficient food. They invite everyone to come together and showcase our collective strength and capacity to drive meaningful change.

One of their initiatives is the ‘We Are Listening’ program. This program aims to offer a supportive platform where individuals can discuss their challenges and receive advice on obtaining assistance. The goal is to help people navigate available resources and connect with appropriate support systems, including government agencies and NGOs. People who share their concerns with the program will be met with attentive listening and personalized guidance from trained staff, ensuring they are directed to the most suitable support for their needs.

Another initiative is the ‘Help Directory.’ This comprehensive resource, compiled by their researchers, aims to educate and guide community members in locating the assistance they need. The directory is designed to streamline the process of accessing support by offering centralized and well-organized information on various services, including government agencies and NGOs.

The launch of the ‘Nammai Naam Kaapom’ website signifies a pivotal advancement in community support and empowerment, reflecting the collaborative efforts of Pertubuhan Pembimbing Pembangunan Masyarakat and Yayasan Iltizam Malaysia. By integrating various resources and initiatives into a unified platform, this project aims to address critical needs, such as hunger and access to assistance, while fostering a self-sustaining and resilient community.
