Director Mari Selvaraj’s recent release, ‘Vaazhai’, has received critical acclaim. Despite limited promotion due to its focus as a children’s drama, the film is currently enjoying a successful run in theaters. In celebration of the movie’s success, the filmmakers held a media meet yesterday. During the press conference, Mari Selvaraj shared that nearly 60% of the shooting for ‘Bison’ has been completed.
With Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, ‘Bison’ is a sports drama inspired by the life of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. The film’s ensemble cast includes Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Kalaiyarasan in supporting roles.
During yesterday’s media interaction, the director disclosed that his upcoming film with Dhanush, tentatively titled “Production No 15,” and produced under Dhanush’s banner, Wunderbar Films, will commence shooting once ‘Bison’ is completed. This project was initially announced last year.

This film marks the second collaboration between Dhanush and Mari Selvaraj following their work on ‘Karnan’. Additionally, the director has revealed plans to collaborate with Suriya, Karthi, and Rajinikanth on upcoming projects. Meanwhile, Dhanush has several acting and directorial ventures lined up, including ‘Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam’, the tentatively titled ‘D4’ featuring Nithya Menen, ‘Kubera’, and a biopic on Ilaiyaraaja, all of which are in various stages of production.
