Malaysia Hindu Sangam of Penang State Council Hosts ‘Penang State Hindu Temple Conference 2024’

The Malaysia Hindu Sangam, Penang State Council, is set to organize the ‘Penang State Hindu Temple Conference 2024’ on October 13, 2024. The event will take place at the Arulmigu Karumariamman Temple in Seberang Jaya, Penang. This significant conference invites all Hindu temple management bodies across the state of Penang to participate.

This conference is a half-day event, scheduled from 8am to 5pm on October 13th. The theme for the conference is ‘Hindu Temple as a Community Centre,’ highlighting the role of temples in fostering community engagement and serving as pivotal centers for social, cultural, and spiritual development. A maximum of three committee members from each temple’s management are allowed to attend the conference as representatives.

The conference will provide attendees with comprehensive notes to support their learning and participation throughout the event. In addition, breakfast, lunch, and a tea break will be offered to ensure participants are well catered for during the programme. Whether a temple is registered with the Malaysia Hindu Sangam or not, all Hindu temple managements in Penang are warmly invited to attend, fostering an inclusive environment for discussion and collaboration on the vital role of temples within the community.

The Penang State Hindu Temple Conference 2024 serves as a valuable platform for Hindu temple managements across Penang to come together, exchange ideas, and strengthen their roles as community centers. This initiative by the Malaysia Hindu Sangam, Penang State Council, reflects their ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and enhancing the leadership of Hindu temples in serving the community. With its inclusive approach and comprehensive agenda, the conference aims to boost the social, cultural, and spiritual contributions of temples, fostering unity and growth within the Hindu community. All temples, regardless of registration status, are encouraged to participate and collaborate in shaping a more vibrant and engaged future for their communities.
