Karthi is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film ‘Meiyazhagan’. In the meantime, he has also shared exciting news that he will be reuniting with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the highly anticipated ‘Kaithi 2’. The actor confirmed at a recent event in Hyderabad that the project is set to begin in 2025.
Following the success of Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ and Vijay’s ‘Leo’, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is now focused on his next project, ‘Coolie’, starring Rajinikanth. The filming for the highly anticipated movie is currently underway.
As ‘Coolie’ prepares for release early next year, it’s expected that director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next project will be ‘Kaithi 2’. There have also been reports of potential sequels to ‘Vikram’ and ‘Leo’, though no further updates have been shared yet. Fans will have to wait for more news once Lokesh completes both ‘Coolie’ and ‘Kaithi 2’.
Karthi is confident that ‘Kaithi 2’ will begin production next year. In the first film, actor Harish Uthaman portrays Adaikalam, who is imprisoned and recognizes Dilli, played by Karthi. It is highly likely that ‘Kaithi 2’ will explore Dilli’s life before his imprisonment and delve into the backstory between Adaikalam and Dilli.
