Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officially inaugurate the new Tamil school, SJKT Heawood, in Sungai Siput. This historic event is set to take place on October 6, 2024 (Sunday) at 2.30pm, as announced by Gobi Ramasamy, the head of the event’s information division and a member of the Kuala Kangsar City Council.

This marks a historic milestone as the Prime Minister inaugurates a Tamil school for the very first time in Malaysia. The government has invested 13 million ringgit into the construction of this state-of-the-art facility, which features a spacious layout designed to accommodate a growing number of students.

“This school is a modern Tamil institution equipped with all the essential facilities. Its spacious grounds will feature a sports field, cafeteria, science laboratory, music room, art education room, relaxation area with a treatment room, library, canteen, and many other amenities,” said Gobi Ramasamy.
