Kuen Cheng High School in Kuala Lumpur has confirmed the tragic death of one of its students on school premises. A female Form 1 student from Kuen Cheng Middle School reportedly posted a video on social media before taking her own life.

In the video, she spoke entirely in English, saying, “I love you all. I just want to say goodbye. I’m deeply thankful to each of you. Goodbye.”

It is reported that a school teacher witnessed the incident and was said to have used the school’s public speaker to urge the student to step away from the edge of the wall. However, by the time the teacher reached the upper floor to intervene, it was already too late. Many people who had watched the student’s live broadcast were devastated to learn of her fall. They left heartfelt messages on her social media platform, expressing their sorrow and wishing her peace.

Meanwhile, a reporter from China Press visited the school where the tragic incident took place and observed that the main gate was locked, with a police car stationed behind the premises. The incident occurred around 6pm yesterday on the eighth floor of the teaching building at Kuen Cheng High School in Kuala Lumpur. Tragically, the girl sustained severe injuries and passed away after falling from the building. There are various speculations regarding the reasons behind her fall, but no definitive explanation has been confirmed at this time.

The principal’s office at Kuen Cheng High School stated that the incident occurred yesterday evening, and emergency measures were promptly implemented, with authorities being notified. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, medical personnel later confirmed the student’s passing, according to their statement. The office also expressed its deepest condolences to the student’s family.

Kuen Cheng High School’s counselors are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of their students to mitigate the psychological effects on others, as stated in their announcement. The school also called on the public to refrain from disseminating unverified information regarding the incident. An official investigation is currently underway, and the school is fully cooperating with the authorities. They appreciate everyone’s understanding during this time, according to Free Malaysia Today.
