In 2022, the group launched the Nambikkai Awards, recognizing 27 distinguished individuals for their achievements. Building on this success, the second awards ceremony in 2023 was held on a grand scale, honouring 32 prominent figures.
The 3rd edition of the Nambikkai Star Icon Awards 2024 is currently in the planning stages. This year, awards will be presented to 40 individuals across various categories, including language, art, literature, and industry-related fields. Specifically, 13 awards will be dedicated to the arts category, while 10 awards will recognize social media artists.

The awards ceremony will be held grandly on Saturday, November 30, at 7pm at the Dewan Tun Razak, Bank Rakyat Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur. Nambikkai, a prominent news media outlet in Malaysia, is dedicated to consistently organizing this awards event to recognize talented individuals. The founder and chairman of the Nambikkai Group, Datuk Seri Mohamed Iqbal Rawuthar, announced that special community awards will be selected by a panel of judges, chaired by Datuk Seri Mohamed Iqbal himself.
In this event, a total of twenty-three (23) awards related to arts and social media will be selected based on the votes of the public, which will take place over a span of ten (10) days. In each category, five (5) nominees will compete, and the individual who receives the highest number of votes, reflecting the people’s overwhelming support, will win the respective award. Additionally, the Malaysia’s Legendary Tun Samy Vellu Lifetime Achievement Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts category will also be presented.
The event will kick off with a red carpet reception, and approximately 500 attendees, including artists, dignitaries, and guests, are expected to participate in the ceremony.
