Datuk Seri R. Ramanan Encourages Indian Community to Come Together and Benefit from Government Programs

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, emphasized that Indians in Malaysia must come together to take full advantage of government opportunities, ensuring the community’s growth and success aligns with the nation’s overall progress.

He stated that the Madani Government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has introduced numerous development programs for all ethnic communities, in keeping with the Malaysia Madani vision.

He emphasized that the Indian community must unite under a common vision to strengthen and amplify their political influence, securing their aspirations and future, particularly in advancing their socioeconomic status,” he shared in his Deepavali message on Facebook today.

He stated that for the socioeconomic advancement of the Indian community, the government, through the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, has launched several initiatives, including the SPUMI Goes Big financing scheme via TEKUN Nasional and the Bank Rakyat Indian Entrepreneur Financing-i (BRIEF-i) program.

He highlighted additional initiatives such as the Prosperity, Empowerment, and A New Normal (PENN) program by Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, along with the Indian Small Business Accelerator Programme (I-BAP) through SME Corp. These programs have collectively supported nearly 10,000 Indian entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses.

“Additional plans are in progress for the Indian community, and I will be in regular discussions with the Prime Minister to ensure these initiatives are carried out in a systematic and effective manner. I would also like to thank the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedick, for his ongoing support in bringing these efforts to life for the Indian community,” he stated.

Ramanan highlighted the significant role the Indian community has played in the nation’s development, including contributions to government formation and maintaining political stability. He expressed his commitment to safeguarding the welfare and well-being of the Indian community.

He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting the welfare and well-being of the Indian community, saying, “I will give my very best for each of you. I understand, empathize deeply, and truly feel the sentiments of the Indian community in this country. I will do everything in my power to serve you.”

In celebration of the Festival of Lights, the Sungai Buloh MP encouraged the public to deepen inter-ethnic bonds, emphasizing that these connections form the backbone of the nation’s strength and resilience.

“I hope this year’s celebration ignites a sense of ‘nambikkai’ (hope) for renewed light in the lives, well-being, prosperity, and future of the Indian community in our country.”

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan’s heartfelt message underscores the importance of unity and collaboration within the Indian community in Malaysia. By leveraging government initiatives and fostering inter-ethnic relationships, the community can enhance its political influence and socioeconomic status. As the Festival of Lights approaches, his call for hope and renewed aspirations serves as a reminder that together, the Indian community can achieve lasting prosperity and contribute to the nation’s resilience and strength.
