Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, emphasized that Indians in Malaysia must come together to take full advantage of government opportunities, ensuring the community’s growth and success aligns with the nation’s overall progress.

He stated that the Madani Government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has introduced numerous development programs for all ethnic communities, in keeping with the Malaysia Madani vision.

He emphasized that the Indian community must unite under a common vision to strengthen and amplify their political influence, securing their aspirations and future, particularly in advancing their socioeconomic status,” he shared in his Deepavali message on Facebook today.

He stated that for the socioeconomic advancement of the Indian community, the government, through the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, has launched several initiatives, including the SPUMI Goes Big financing scheme via TEKUN Nasional and the Bank Rakyat Indian Entrepreneur Financing-i (BRIEF-i) program.

He highlighted additional initiatives such as the Prosperity, Empowerment, and A New Normal (PENN) program by Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, along with the Indian Small Business Accelerator Programme (I-BAP) through SME Corp. These programs have collectively supported nearly 10,000 Indian entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses.

“Additional plans are in progress for the Indian community, and I will be in regular discussions with the Prime Minister to ensure these initiatives are carried out in a systematic and effective manner. I would also like to thank the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedick, for his ongoing support in bringing these efforts to life for the Indian community,” he stated.

“I hope this year’s celebration ignites a sense of ‘nambikkai’ (hope) for renewed light in the lives, well-being, prosperity, and future of the Indian community in our country.”

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan’s heartfelt message underscores the importance of unity and collaboration within the Indian community in Malaysia.
