‘Amaran’, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is making waves at the box office across various regions, starting with remarkable success. Netflix has secured the rights as the official streaming platform for Amaran. In recent years, South Indian films released theatrically have quickly made their way to Netflix, usually premiering within a four-week window, even those that perform exceptionally well at the box office. This trend has enabled fans of South Indian cinema to enjoy blockbuster hits from the comfort of their homes soon after their theater debut.

This pattern suggests that ‘Amaran’ will likely be available for streaming soon after its theatrical release, granting timely access to a wider audience. The film is anticipated to premiere on Netflix in the last week of November. According to Filmibeat, the OTT rights were acquired for ₹60 crore.

With its remarkable box office success, ‘Amaran’ is set to become one of the most profitable films in Tamil cinema, paving the way for Sivakarthikeyan to reach new milestones in his career. The film tells the poignant story of Major Mukund Varadharajan, an army officer who sacrifices his life in the fight against terrorism to protect his country. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, it features Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
