‘Amaran’ Surpasses Rs 200 Crore Worldwide, Becoming Sivakarthikeyan’s Biggest Box Office Hit

The film ‘Amaran’, starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, was released on October 31 as a special Deepavali release. The movie has been enjoying strong box office success, drawing substantial audiences to cinemas across various locations. Even weekday screenings of ‘Amaran’ in Malaysia have been seeing impressive attendance. The film is distributed in Malaysia by DMY Creation.

‘Amaran’ continues to perform well at the box office in its second week, having now crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide. This milestone was officially confirmed by Raaj Kamal Films International, the production company led by Kamal Haasan. Remarkably, ‘Amaran’ is the first film in Sivakarthikeyan’s career to achieve this significant feat.

The creators of ‘Amaran’ have revealed a striking poster featuring Sivakarthikeyan to commemorate the film’s impressive Rs 200 crore milestone, achieved within just 10 days. This success has propelled Sivakarthikeyan into the ranks of top-tier actors, marking ‘Amaran’ as a significant milestone in his career. Excitement for his future projects is growing rapidly. Social media is abuzz with fans celebrating Sivakarthikeyan’s remarkable journey from a reality TV show participant to becoming one of Kollywood’s leading stars.

As per trade reports, Amaran has seen impressive earnings, collecting more than Rs 100 crore from the Tamil Nadu market alone. Additionally, the film’s international performance has been strong, with overseas collections estimated to be around Rs 70 crore.

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, ‘Amaran’ is a biographical film based on the life of Indian army officer Mukund Varadarajan. The movie also features Sai Pallavi, who plays the pivotal role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, Major Mukund’s wife. With a powerful score composed by GV Prakash, the film unfolds an intense narrative that highlights themes of patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice, portraying the journey and heroism of this dedicated Indian soldier.
