Actor Nayanthara has issued a firm response following a legal notice from Dhanush regarding her forthcoming Netflix documentary, ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’. In an open letter, Nayanthara expressed strong disapproval, accusing Dhanush of harboring longstanding “vengeance,” particularly over the use of scenes from their 2015 film, ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. Dhanush’s legal notice seeks Rs 10 crore in damages, claiming that the documentary features a three-second behind-the-scenes clip that was recorded on personal devices and is already publicly available on social media.

In the letter, Nayanthara pointed out Dhanush’s refusal to approve the use of songs and footage from the film, despite repeated appeals. She also conveyed her disappointment over the legal action taken after the trailer’s release, characterizing it as a result of personal animosity.

Nayanthara’s documentary will highlight her journey from modest origins to becoming a celebrated actress. It will include insights from her friends and peers in the industry, such as Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, along with contributions from her family and husband, director Vignesh Shivan. The film will showcase her dedication to her craft and her evolution as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’ is set to premiere on Netflix on November 18.
