Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar, who acted in the Hindi version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya, forays into South Indian cinema playing the antagonist opposite Rajinikanth, in AR Murugadoss’s upcoming trilingual Darbar.
Produced by Lyca Productions, Rajinikanth will be seen in a cop avatar after a hiatus of 25 years.
Darbar’s shooting is currently progressing in and around Mumbai. Prateik Babbar has joined the team and has begun shooting for his portions in the film.
The young actor took to his social networking page to share a picture from the shooting spot, in the backdrop of an airport with a flight behind.
Prateik Babbar plays the son of Sunil Shetty, another Bollywood actor who plays the main villain in the movie.
Prateik seems to have hit the gym and beefed up his body for his role in the film. The young actor had shared a few videos of him working out in the gym recently.
Transgender actress Jeeva who had worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Dharma Durai has joined the cast of Darbar recently. Nayanthara playing lead and also stars Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Harish Uttaman, and Bose Venkat in important roles.
The Mumbai-set film is scheduled for release on January 9, 2020.
