In recent times, the celebrated Indian film director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been delighting fans with his exceptional movies. Although he has directed only five films so far, he has set a remarkable benchmark in the industry and created his very own cinematic universe, affectionately known as the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).
As if that weren’t enough, Lokesh took things up a notch by founding his own production company, G Squad. The company made its mark by presenting Sundeep Kishan’s Michael and producing Vijay Kumar’s Fight Club in 2023.
However, Lokesh isn’t one to rest on his laurels. Just yesterday, G Squad announced yet another exciting project: Mr. Bhaarath.
True to form, Lokesh, renowned for his quirky and intriguing promotional videos, has hit the bull’s eye yet again. The promotional clip for Mr. Bhaarath has already garnered over 1 million views in just 14 hours, leaving audiences buzzing with anticipation.

The video offers a tantalising glimpse into the film’s flavour, and here comes the twist – Lokesh, the man who has steadfastly avoided the romantic genre throughout his career, has decided to dabble in it under his production banner. Yes, you read that right. Mr. Bhaarath is a Rom-Com!
The film features popular YouTubers Bhaarath and Niranjan of the Finally channel, who are making their acting and directing debuts respectively. Joining them is actor Samyuktha Viswanathan, celebrated for her roles in Oh Manapenne and TV series like Modern Love Chennai, Sweet Kaaram Coffee, and Chutney Sambar.
The stellar supporting cast includes Bala Saravanan, Nidhi Pradeep, R. Sunder Rajan, Linga, and Adithya Kathir, among others. Clearly, Lokesh has assembled quite the dream team.
On the production front, Lokesh will co-produce the film alongside Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. The technical crew boasts an impressive lineup as well, featuring music composer Pranav Muniraj, cinematographer Om Narayan, editor Dhivakar Dennis, and art director Bhavna Govardan.
Lokesh also took a moment on Twitter to express his gratitude to superstar Rajinikanth and AVM Productions for granting the rights to use the iconic title Mr. Bhaarath.
