26 year old Priya Serrao is an embodiment of beauty with brains. The Victorian policy adviser was crowned as Miss Universe Australia 2019 in Melbourne and Australian-Ugandan saxophonist, Bella Kasimba, came in as the runner up.
Priya was born in India, raised in the Middle East and moved to Australia at the age of 11. She is a law graduate who now works for the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions in Melbourne and will be a certified solicitor in August. Priya has no prior modelling or pageant experience and the crown was an unexpected surprise for her.
Malaysia will be represented by the eloquent and elegant Shweta Sekhon who has been preparing for the grand finals of Miss Universe 2019.
