In an innovative move, Sree Selva Vinayagar Temple in Klang, Selangor has officially launched Malaysia’s first fully digitalized temple management service. This system aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of temple operations, making it convenient for the devotees. The launch was made by Batu MP and Mitra Leader YB Prabhakaran.

YB Prabhakaran also expressed his feeling towards this initiative. “It’s a very exciting thing, as we talk about digitalization. The world is moving towards digitalization, like AI Technology, Nanotechnology and robotics. For the first time, a Hindu temple is taking such progressive step by implementing a fully digitalized management system”.

This digital system, had started a few months back, YB Prabhakaran noted that the system automates reports and calculation, reducing risk on any cash or calculation eros making the management more accountable. He also highlighted that such models could serve as a great example for any other temples to adopt, as it ensures a smooth management and operation. Right Beside the kiosk machine, there is a vending machine to collect you Ghee Lamps and more.

It is not about making the temple more modernized to make sure it is user friendly for devotees. Even older generations are adapting to the kiosk.

The digitized machine is a multi functional kiosk machine, as it does not just have one feature. Beyond just the temple service like buying archanai, the kiosk machine also serves as an information hub. It provides updates on government initiatives, updates, grants ,or programmes, anything related and helpful for the Indian Community. This ensures that devotees stay informed on useful programmes and opportunities.

YB Prabhakaran has also emphasized the government’s support for other temples who need similar digital systems, “ This initiative has a good potential and through the government we are ready to help other temples to have such a system. There are temples who have sent official letters on this and we are looking into it, doing our research on it.”

The Selva Vinayagar Temple’s initiative helps to improve its management but also strengthens its connection with the community, ensuring a better and easier experience for devotees.
