The preparation for Thaipusam at Sri Subramaniyar Temple Sungai Petani has already started as temple authorities anticipate a massive crowd turnout for this year’s Thaipusam. This temple is one of the most significant temples in Malaysia.
We all know when it’s Thaipusam, there’s always a huge crowd in the three main temples. Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Temple (Tannirmalai) Penang, Sri Subramaniyar Swamy Temple (Batumalai) Kuala Lumpir and Kallumalai Subramaniyar Temple Ipoh. But this time, the Sri Subramaniyar Temple Sungai Petani is expecting a huge crowd after those temples.

Each year, there are over hundreds thousands devotees who visit the Sungai Petani temple for Thaipusam to complete their prayers and rituals, But this year, it is promised to be even bigger, preparations began a few days ago, already drawing a few hundred devotees who took part in it.

As Thaipusam is just two weeks away, not just the preparation but a special ritual is scheduled today on 31st January, where devotees are invited to join the prayer ceremony. Temple authorities expect this years event to be more grand and vibrant with an even larger crowd compared to the previous years.
With preparations going on, the temple is set to witness a grand Thaipusam celebration bringing together thousands of devotees.
