AirAsia X Ranked World’s Best Low Cost Airlines 2025 By AirlineRatings.com

AirAsia X has been ranked the World’s Best Low Cost Airline 2025 by AirlineRatings.com, a recognition that extends across the AirAsia Group of airlines including Thai AirAsia X. This award showcases and highlights AirAsia X’s commitment for affordability, operational excellence and service quality in the travel sector.

Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X, expressed his gratitude and the pride for this achievement, by stating,

“This is a significant acknowledgment of the incredible efforts made by the team at AirAsia X as we have been laser-focused on delivering the very best value and service for medium haul air travel spanning Australia, Asia, and beyond”.

The airline has surged 20% in passengers carried in 2024 compared to 2023 along with a 20% increase in capacity and improved aircraft utilization, while maintaining a strong load factor of 83%. These achievements, along with a commitment for the guest satisfaction have contributed to AirAsia X to secure their top spot among low cost airlines worldwide.

Investor Relations: Corporate Profile

AirAsia X continues to enhance its commitment to cater to a diverse amount of travelers. Their airline provides various seating options including Premium Flatbed, Quiet Zone and Economy to ensure the guests comfort and flexibility. In addition to that, the airline’s highly known Santan Inflight Menu has been made to meet the needs of passengers on longer journeys.

Recent innovation also includes lounge access for premium customers at key airports such as Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and Melbourne, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to provide top notch experience at a very affordable price.

Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia X, emphasized the airline’s commitment and dedication to rebuild their strength after the pandemic,

“Over the past year, Thai AirAsia X has worked tirelessly to restore our airline’s strength as quickly as possible across operation, financial performance and service development. We have made significant progress in our growth”.

Reflecting on the challenges faced by the aviation industry post pandemic, he also said that being ranked No.1 by Airline Ratings.com is a huge boost, reaffirming the global confidence in their standards. They have also ensured with full momentum, the airline is committed to driving forward into 2025 and continue their relentless pursuit of progress.
