Malaysia Hindu Sangam to Host National Thirumurai Conference 2025 on March 1st & 2nd

The Malaysia Hindu Sangam is set to host the National Thirumurai Conference 2025 on March 1st and 2nd at the Grand Hall, University of Cyberjaya, Selangor. This prestigious event aims to celebrate and promote the rich spiritual and literary heritage of the Thirumurai, bringing together scholars, devotees, and cultural enthusiasts for two days of insightful discussions and devotional recitations.

The conference is being held after a 12-year gap, featuring a more vibrant selection of topics related to Thirumurai. The Malaysia Hindu Sangam has long been dedicated to promoting and preserving Hinduism in Malaysia. Over the past 47 years, it has organized Thirumurai competitions, benefiting more than 50,000 students. In addition to this, the organization has consistently conducted programs focused on youth development, women’s empowerment, and social welfare.

The National Thirumurai Conference 2025 will feature insightful speeches by renowned speakers, including the esteemed Prof. So. So. Mee Sundram from Madurai and Sivakara Desigar Swamigal from Coimbatore, along with distinguished local scholars.

In addition to these thought-provoking discussions, the conference will showcase a variety of cultural and academic programs, including Thirumurai-themed dramas, traditional Thirumurai dance performances, and an engaging Thirumurai forum. Furthermore, a special segment will be dedicated to the presentation of research papers, providing a platform for scholars to share their studies and insights on the spiritual and literary significance of the Thirumurai.

The National Thirumurai Conference 2025 will take place over two days, offering a series of engaging and insightful activities. The event will commence on March 1st from 4pm to 8.45pm, followed by a full day of programs on March 2nd from 7am to 5.30pm. Attendees can look forward to a meaningful and enriching experience, filled with discussions, performances, and educational sessions that celebrate the essence of Thirumurai.
