Following the tremendous success of Dragon, director Ashwath Marimuthu is set to embark on his next major venture, tentatively titled STR 51, featuring Silambarasan TR in the lead.
Speaking at a recent film event, the director revealed that pre-production for the project is set to begin by the end of this month, with the story and overall treatment already finalized. While the exact filming schedule remains uncertain, he hinted that production could commence in either August or September, with the team aiming for a summer 2026 release.

Sharing insights about STR 51, the director mentioned that the film will incorporate elements that made his previous works, Oh My Kadavule and Dragon, successful, while also including aspects that audiences love in a Silambarasan TR film.
STR 51 is one of the most highly anticipated films. Notably, Silambarasan TR lent his voice to Yendi Vittu Pona, a soulful heartbreak song featured in Dragon.
Dragon, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, Kayadu Lohar, Anupama Parameswaran, Mysskin, VJ Siddhu, and Harshath Khan, achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing Rs 100 crore at the global box office.

Released on February 21, Dragon opened to largely positive reviews from both critics and audiences. The film continues to perform well at the box office, enjoying a successful theatrical run.
