Tamil schools today are nurturing well-educated and well-mannered children who contribute to the nation’s growth. They are not just centers of education but also institutions that instill general knowledge and good values in students.

In line with this vision, SJK(T) Seri Pelangi organized the “School Sustainability Program” with the theme “1 Teacher, 1 Tree – 1 Staff, 1 Tree” to promote environmental awareness and enhance greenery within the school. As part of this initiative, each teacher and staff member planted a tree in the school compound, symbolizing their commitment to nature conservation and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

The initiative took place on 4th March within the school compound, where every teacher and staff member brought a potted plant to contribute to the greenery. Each plant was carefully arranged and systematically planted, ensuring an organized and visually appealing landscape.

The addition of these plants enhanced the beauty of the school, creating a fresher and more vibrant environment. The lush greenery not only improves the aesthetics but also promotes a healthier and more eco-friendly atmosphere, making the school a more pleasant place for students to learn and grow. This initiative stands as a testament to the school’s dedication to sustainability and environmental conservation.

Through this initiative, the school has taken a significant step towards fostering environmental responsibility among its staff and students. By integrating sustainability into the school’s culture, SJK(T) Seri Pelangi has set an inspiring example of how small efforts can contribute to a greener future. The “1 Teacher, 1 Tree – 1 Staff, 1 Tree” program not only beautified the school but also instilled a sense of duty towards nature. Moving forward, such initiatives will continue to encourage students to develop eco-friendly habits and become responsible citizens who care for the environment.
