After much speculation about delays, the makers of Kaithi 2 have officially confirmed the return of Karthi’s iconic character, Dilli. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Karthi put all the rumors to rest with one social media announcement.
On social media, Karthi shared a picture alongside Lokesh Kanagaraj, symbolically placing the director’s signature silver kada onto his wrist. Along with the post, he wrote
“Dilli Returns. Let it be another fantastic year”.
He also tagged Kaithi’s production house, Dream Warrior Pictures and KVN Productions, fueling speculation about potential collaboration.
Earlier, reports on Kaithi 2 could be delayed due to Lokesh’s busy schedule with his upcoming project Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. However, the latest update from the lead actor and director confirms that the much awaited sequel is on track.
Lokesh Kanagaraj Upcoming
Currently, Lokesh is directing Coolie, an action packed entertainer featuring an ensemble cast, including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao. The film is also rumoured to include Bollywood star Aamir Khan in a special cameo role, along with performances from Soubin Shahir, Shruti Hassan, Sathyaraj and Pooja Hegde in a dance number.

Karthi’s Upcoming Projects
Apart from Kaithi 2, Karthi is currently busy filming Sardar 2, the sequel to the 2022 spy action film. Directed by P.S Mithran, the film is set to release this year and features Rajisha Vijayan, Malavika Mohanan, S.J Suryah and Ashika Ranganath.
Additionally, Karthi’s another film Vaa Vaathiyaar is awaiting its release, adding to the actor’s packed schedule. With the official confirmation of Kaithi 2, fans can now eagerly look forward to Dilli’s return in what promises to be another thrilling chapter in Lokesh’s gripping action universe.
