Suriya’s highly anticipated film Retro is set to hit theaters on May 1, promising an exhilarating cinematic experience for his fans. Hot on its heels, the actor’s 45th film, Suriya 45, is nearing the final stages of production under the direction of RJ Balaji. Filming for the project commenced in November 2024 and has been progressing swiftly towards completion. Boasting a stellar cast and immense anticipation, Suriya 45 is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.

The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Trisha, Yogi Babu, Natty Natraj, Swaseeka, Shivatha, and Indrans, who makes his return to Kollywood after his notable role in Shankar’s Nanban. Sai Abhyankar is composing the music, while GK Vishnu handles the cinematography. Backed by a prominent production house, the film benefits from strong support, further elevating expectations for the project.
According to Cinema Vikatan, one of the standout moments of the shoot was an elaborate song sequence filmed on a grand festival-themed set at a Chennai studio along ECR. Featuring Suriya and Trisha, the song, composed by Sai Abhyankar, is a vibrant folk track brought to life with a visually captivating setup and hundreds of dancers. This sequence has already generated buzz among fans, heightening anticipation for its release. Suriya and Trisha, who have previously shared the screen in Mounam Pesiyadhe, Aaru, and Manmadhan Ambu, reunite once again, further amplifying excitement for their on-screen chemistry.

The filming of Suriya 45 is set to wrap up by April 2025. Following a brief break, Suriya will begin work on his next venture, Suriya 46, directed by Venky Atluri, with production scheduled to commence in June 2025. With this upcoming project, fans can look forward to yet another exciting addition to Suriya’s remarkable career.
