Exciting South Indian Movies Hitting Theatres This Month

April is packed with many thrilling releases from the South Indian film industry, bringing an exciting mixture of drama, action, fantasy and adventure. From the Malayalam industry to Tamil film industry, there are plenty of films that are releasing this month, which movie enthusiasts can look forward to watching. Here’s a rundown of seven main South Indian films you can watch this month:

 1) Good Bad Ugly (Tamil)

Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is releasing on 10th of April in cinema’s worldwide. The film is one of the most anticipated films of the year, as it brings a unique narrative and a different look of Ajith Kumar.

2) Bazooka (Malayalam)

Bazooka is a Malayalam language film starring Mammootty, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Shine Tom Chacko. The film is a high-stake action thriller centered on a cop and businessman who teams up to find a serial killer.

3) Odela 2 (Telugu)

Releasing on 17th April, Odela 2 is a sequel film of Odela Railway Station, a action drama on Odela Malanna Swamy, the village’s guardian as he battles forces that threaten his community’s peace. The film stars Tammannah Bhatia, Hebah Patel and many others.

4) The Pet Detective (Malayalam)

Releasing on 25th April, The Pet Detective is a mystery with humor film. The story revolves around a macaw parrot that turns a couple’s life upside down. The film stars Anupama Parameswaran as her return to the Malayalam industry.

5) Lovely (Malayalam)

Releasing on 4th April, Starring Mathew Thomas and Manoj K Jayan, Lovely is a romantic drama that brings fantasy to the forefront, following a young man’s unexpected friendship with a talking housefly.

6) Chaurya Paatam (Telugu)

Releasing on 18th April, Chaurya Paatam is a heist thriller, and follows a story of four criminals who plan to rob a peaceful village, only to learn their hidden secret. The film stars Indhra Ram, Payal Radhakrishna, Rajeev Kanakala and Saleem Pheku.

7) Ghaati (Telugu)

Releasing on 18th April, Ghaati is a movie that many have been waiting for as it stars Anushka Shetty, Vikram Prabhu and Ramya Krishnan. The film is an action packed thriller that delves into the theme of destiny, survival and power.

With all these diverse films ranging from action packed dramas to fantasy adventures, April is shaping to be an exciting month for South Indian Cinema. Weather you’re a fan of intense thrillers or lighthearted entertainers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and watch on big screens
