Both JK Wicky and Thamal Ko. Saravanan will be speaking at this insightful talk, which centers around Bakthi Ilakkiyam—devotional Tamil literature. Together, they will delve into its history, cultural significance, and the essence of revered texts such as Thiruvasagam, Thirumurai, and more.
Adding a unique dimension to the event, JK Wicky will present a special multimedia segment designed to make the session more engaging, interactive, and visually captivating. This presentation will explore the rich legacy of the Chola kings, highlighting their grand temples, majestic sculptures, and architectural brilliance. The talk will also shed light on the global influence of Bakthi Ilakkiyam, tracing how this profound literary tradition has resonated with Tamil communities across the world.
When asked about what inspired him to organize this talk event, JK Wicky shared,
“The aim is to pass on the knowledge and significance of our rich history to the younger generation. Today’s youth often lack awareness of our cultural heritage, historical depth, and devotional traditions. This talk is meant to educate and enlighten them. It’s essential knowledge that everyone should have. We’re especially hoping to see more young people attend this event. Every fact and insight we present will be backed by evidence. We believe this talk will ignite curiosity and inspire the younger generation to delve deeper into our history and the richness of Tamil literature. Ultimately, it may even encourage more students to pursue higher studies in this field, helping to preserve and celebrate our heritage for generations to come.”
