Aeshwarya Sivakumar Crowned Champion at National STEM Innovation Competition

Tamil school students continue to shine with remarkable achievements, and one outstanding example is Aeshwarya Sivakumar, a Standard 6 student from SJKT Ladang Highlands, Klang. On 26 April 2025, Aeshwarya clinched the Champion title in the SciFusion Festival dan Inovasi STEM Kebangsaan, excelling in the Pembentangan Fizikal (Sekolah Rendah) category.

The competition, organised by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), attracted participation from both primary and secondary schools across the country, making it a highly competitive and prestigious event. Around 200 primary school students took part, showcasing their creativity and innovation in STEM-related fields. Among them, Aeshwarya Sivakumar stood out with her exceptional presentation and was crowned Champion in the Pembentangan Fizikal (Sekolah Rendah) category. In recognition of her remarkable achievement, she was awarded a cash prize of RM150.

She innovated and presented the Ricinus Healing Stick as her project, which impressed the judges and earned her the Champion title in the competition.

Notably, Aeshwarya has earned multiple gold awards in science innovation competitions and digital application development challenges, showcasing her versatility, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence. In addition to her achievements in STEM, she is a talented speaker who has won numerous accolades in school-level storytelling and public speaking competitions, reflecting her strong communication skills and self-confidence. Beyond academics, Aeshwarya is also artistically gifted, with a deep passion for drawing and playing the violin, making her a well-rounded and exceptional young talent.

Beyond her recent success, Aeshwarya is a well-rounded and proactive student who excels in academics, co-curricular activities, and the arts. She consistently maintains excellent academic performance and continues to demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills. Adding to her list of achievements, she will soon represent her school in both Tennis and Netball at the district-level MSSD (Majlis Sukan Sekolah Daerah) competitions, further highlighting her dedication and versatility.
