Even as two of his films are in various stages of filming, Mahat has signed on a new project. Interestingly, the yet-to-be-titled film, which went on floors a couple of days ago in Chennai, will have the actor playing an actor.
“What excited me about this film, other than the story, is that I get to play an actor in it. In a way, it’s both fun and challenging to play a role that’s your profession in reality. With every film, you hope to learn something new and also do some heavy-duty performance. I get to realise that dream of mine with this film. It’s a thriller, but my portion will also have a good amount of humour element.”
The film, which is being directed by debutant Rajesh Khanna, will feature four heroines.
Debutante Bhagyashree has already started shooting for the film, and the team is in talks with three top league actresses to play the other female leads.
While Sam CS will be composing the music, Gopi Krishna has been roped in as the editor. Sooraj Nallasamy is handling the camera and Siruthai Ganesh will choreograph the stunt sequence.
