Fabindia proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary in Malaysia this year. Originally established in 1960, Fabindia has grown into a globally recognized brand known for its quality, craftsmanship, and diverse range of products. The brand made its Malaysian debut in 2015 with the opening of its first outlet at NU Sentral. Today, Fabindia operates three outlets across the country, in NU Sentral, Masjid India, and Penang, under the leadership of franchise owner Datin Manjari, who also took over the franchise operations in Singapore as of 2025.
To commemorate its 10th anniversary in Malaysia, Fabindia hosted a grand celebration on 28th June at Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The event was graced by several distinguished Guests of Honour, whose presence elevated the significance of the occasion. Among them were YB Tuan M. Kula Segaran, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department; Ms Shubashini Narayanan, Deputy Ambassador; Dato Vikness Raju; and Mr Ajay Kapoor, President – Retail at Fabindia HQ.

The celebration commenced with a delightful high tea, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. This was followed by a captivating opening performance that set an energetic tone for the evening. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in an exciting lucky draw, adding a touch of fun and anticipation to the event.
The highlight of the evening was a vibrant fashion showcase curated by our very own homegrown stylist, Yogash. Aptly titled “Showcasing FabIndia in Colour,” the showcase featured 20 models styled in FabIndia’s signature ensembles. Each look beautifully reflected the richness of traditional Indian textiles infused with contemporary design elements, underscoring FabIndia’s dedication to sustainable fashion and the preservation of cultural heritage. The evening concluded with a group photography session, capturing meaningful moments from this milestone celebration and leaving attendees with lasting memories.
