Think Studios has officially unveiled their upcoming film, a fantasy romantic comedy featuring Kavin and Priyanka Mohan in the lead roles. The project promises a fresh and vibrant musical experience with acclaimed producer Ofro on board as the composer. Best known for his work in the hip-hop scene and as the driving force behind the Att Culture label, Ofro’s involvement brings a unique edge to the film’s soundtrack.
Tentatively titled Kavin 09, the film marks the feature directorial debut of Ken Royson. Known for his work in the music video space, Ken has built an impressive portfolio, having collaborated with a range of prominent artists including Ofro, Santhosh Narayanan, Sai Abhyankkar, Asal Kolaar, Arivu, Kelithee, and Sarah Black. His notable directorial credits include music videos such as The One from Retro, 10000 Pax from Jigarthanda DoubleX, Asal Kolaar’s Jorthaale and Amakkalam, Kallamouni by Arivu and Ofro, Boombastic by Hip Hop Thamizha, and Illuminati from Aavesham.
On Monday, it was officially announced that Kavin will be teaming up with Thandatti director Ram Sangiah for an upcoming film. In addition to this project, Kavin is also set to appear in Kiss, directed by Satish Krishnan, and Mask, which is being produced by acclaimed filmmaker Vettrimaaran. In Mask, Kavin will share the screen with Andrea Jeremiah.
Kavin 09 will be backed by Think Studios, with Swaroop Reddy serving as the producer. With Kavin 09, Think Studios is set to bring together a fresh creative team and an exciting cast, blending fantasy, romance, and music into a unique cinematic experience. As Kavin continues to line up promising projects with acclaimed filmmakers, including Mask and Kiss, his career trajectory only seems to be rising.
