Let’s journey through the Pink City’s timeless treasures, from the elegance of its royal forts to the enchanted of its bustling bazaars.

Royal Hospitality, Modern Comforts

Jaipur’s crown of luxury is studded with world-renowned palace hotels and boutique stays, such as the Fairmont Jaipur, a grand property that blends Mughal opulence with Rajput royalty. Located at the foot of the majestic Aravalli hills, Fairmont offers guests more than just accommodation, its a portal into India’s regal past. The hotel’s dedication to cultural authenticity makes it a true standout, from locally inspired cuisine to its traditional welcome rituals.

Its no surprise that majestic stay at Jaipur like Fairmont was featured in the recent Netflix hit ‘The Royals’, which chose Jaipur as a primary filming location for its blend of fairytale charm and cinematic grandeur.

What Makes Jaipur Top 5

Here’s a few must-see spots in Jaipur, and you’ll see exactly why it made it to the world’s top 5

Amer Fort: Where History Stands Tall

No trip to Jaipur is complete without standing in awe before the Amer Fort, a 16th-century marvel perched atop a hill overlooking Maota Lake. Built with red sandstone and marble, Amer Fort can be reached by either taking an elephant ride or walking up the hill.

The views seen from the elephant ride are breathtaking, especially the ones across Moatha Lake. Amer Fort also offers nighttime Light show. From Char Garden, the whole Jaipur city can be seen.

Sheesh Mahal, A Window Of Royal Craftmanship

Tucked inside Jaipur’s iconic Amber Fort, the Sheesh Mahal is a dazzling display of royal artistry and architectural brilliance. Built in the 16th century, this glittering hall lives up for its name with walls and ceilings adorned in delicate tinted glass, thousands of tiny, high quality mirror. Legend has it the palace inspired by a queens wish to sleep beneath the stars.

Also known as the Mirror Palace of Samode, this space is a testament to the craftsmanship of Jaipur artisans.

City Palace: The Heartbeat of Jaipur’s Royalty

Smack in the centre of the Pink City lies the City Palace, a sprawling complex of courtyards, getaways, museums, and lush gardens. Designed as a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the palace offers a peek into Jaipur’s regal legacy, complete with the Chandra Mahal, where descendants of the royal family still reside.

The palace’s museum showcases royal attire, antique weaponry, and artworks that brings centuries of heritage to life. Visitors can stroll through the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audiences) and marvel at the world’s largest sterling silver vessels, a visual metaphor of Jaipur’s lavish history. There are a few tourist attractions nearby City Place, such as Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Government Central Museum, Jantar Mantar and Vidhyadhar’s Garden.

Hawa Mahal: The Palace of Winds

Perhaps Jaipur’s most iconic structure, the Hawa Mahal rises like a honeycomb from the heart of the city. The Hawa Mahal’s main purpose was to allow royal women to witness street procession and a daily life without being observed by the public. With 953 small windows,  the beautiful facade with ventilation and air movement allowed royal women to observe daily life on the streets without being seen. Thus the name of the place is ‘Palace of Winds’.

Guardians of Jaipur: Nahargarh and Jaigarh Forts and Their Timeless Tales

Towering over Jaipur from the Aravalli Hills, Nahargarh Fort is where royal grandeur meets natural beauty. Once a strategic lookout, it now offers some of the city’s best sunrise and sunset views. With carved pillars, floral frescoes, and rooftop cafes that come alive at night, its a perfect blend of history, artistry and modern charm.

Not far away, the mighty Jaigarh Fort, boasts military might with its massive walls and iconic Jaivana cannon, the world’s largest on wheels. Its ancient armory, panoramic viewpoints, and tales of secret tunnels make it a thrilling stop for history buffs and explorers alike.

Jaipur’s Vibrant Soul: Markets, Textile and Jewels

Beyond the palaces and forts, Jaipur thrives in its kaleidoscopic bazaars. The old city’s markets are a riot of colour and craft, where artisans showcases centuries-old skills in textile, gemstone, block printing and handmade trinkets.
