A Form Three student at Methodist Girls’ School in Ipoh, Jinoreeka first captured the Hong Kong Junior Open title in 2022 in the Under-13 category, and repeated the success last year in the Under-15 division.

Her father, Manivannan Ramasamy, revealed that she secured her third championship on Sunday despite enduring a high fever over the past three days, making the achievement all the more extraordinary. 11-8, 6-11, 11-2, 8-11, 12-10, showcasing both her resilience and nerves of steel in the decisive moments.
Without a formal coach in Malaysia, Jinoreeka follows a training regimen crafted by Egyptian squash great Omar Abdel Aziz. In doing so, she mirrors the path of her squash idol, world number three Hania El Hammamy.
Since 2023, Jinoreeka has travelled to Cairo to train in person with Omar only eight times, with each trip costing about RM30,000.
In addition, she takes part in Omar’s online fitness sessions four times a week. On weekends, her parents make the drive to The Lakeview Club in Subang Jaya, where she engages in sparring sessions with other rising Malaysian squash players.
Jinoreeka has enjoyed an impressive winning run this year, securing the Under-15 crown at the Asian Junior Championships in South Korea and adding the Under-17 title at the Penang Junior Open just last month. Her next goal is to capture the prestigious British Junior Open title in 2026, while also aiming to fulfil her dream of making her Malaysian debut at the 2027 World Junior Squash Championships.
