Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu’s upcoming film officially commenced today with a pooja ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project marks a special reunion, as it brings together Prabhu Deva, Vadivelu, and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time since their collaboration in Manadhai Thirudivittai (2001).
Touted as an action-adventure, the film is written and directed by Sam Rodrigues and produced by KRG Kannan Ravi, with Deepak Ravi serving as co-producer. Filming is scheduled to begin in November, and the project marks the fourth production venture from KRG Kannan Ravi.
Babloo Prithveeraj, last seen in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Ace, will also play a key role in the film. The technical crew features Vignesh Vasu as the cinematographer, Anthony as the editor, and Peter Hein in charge of stunt choreography.
Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu have previously shared screen space in films such as Kadhalan, Engal Anna, Kaathala Kaathala, Mr. Romeo, Love Birds, and Raasaiyya. Vadivelu has also appeared in Pokkiri and Villu, both of which were directed by Prabhu Deva.
With a star-studded cast, a proven technical team, and the long-awaited reunion of Prabhu Deva, Vadivelu, and Yuvan Shankar Raja, the upcoming film has already generated significant buzz. Blending action, adventure, and entertainment, the project promises to be a much-anticipated addition to Tamil cinema when it goes on floors this November.
