The year is 2040. Rajinikanth is starring in his 189th film, Yash has joined the Mission: Impossible franchise, and a new relationship trend called “evolutionship” has entered popular culture. This is the imaginative world crafted by Vignesh Shivan in Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), a glimpse of which was revealed on Tuesday.
Pradeep Ranganathan stars as a man who continues to believe in love at first sight and true romance, even in a world where relationships have grown increasingly casual and complex. SJ Suryah plays the owner of the Love Insurance Kompany, an establishment that appears to prevent people from pursuing genuine love. Krithi Shetty plays the woman he falls for. The teaser of LIK hints at a quirky and entertaining exploration of modern-day relationships.
The film is being produced by Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara under the Rowdy Pictures banner. SS Lalit Kumar, who is backing the project through his Seven Screen Studio, is also presenting Love Insurance Kompany.
The cast also includes actor-politician Seeman, alongside Gouri G Kishan, Yogi Babu, and Shah Rah. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh, marking yet another collaboration with Vignesh Shivan after Naanum Rowdy Dhan, Thaana Serndha Kootam, and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The first single, Dheema, featuring Anirudh’s vocals and lyrics by Vignesh, was released last year.
The technical team of the film features Ravi Varman as cinematographer, Pradeep E Ragav as editor, T. Muthuraj as production designer, and Peter Hein in charge of stunt choreography. Love Insurance Kompany is scheduled for release on October 17, just ahead of the Deepavali festivities.
