Jyothika, who was last seen playing a school principal in Raatchasi, and Revathi who played a District Collector in Keni, are uniting for the very first time in Jackpot.
The film’s official trailer was released on Tuesday. Directed by Kalyan and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, the film has been scheduled to release on August 2. Kalyan has previously worked with Revathi in Gulebagavali.
The trailer shows them in different looks – police inspectors, doctors (veterinary we’re later told), clad in madisar and also inside a women’s prison.
The troublesome duo, who change appearances as they please, seem to be on some quest. We’re given a brief glance of them helping children later on.
The film’s music has been composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar. Jackpot was launched in February and was wrapped up in April.
Revathi is currently working on Azhiyatha Kolangal written and directed by MR Bharathi and produced by Easwari Rao. Jyothika, on the other hand, has the Jeethu Joseph project in which she’ll star along with Karthi.
Her new film with debutant director JJ Fredrick has been titled Pon Magal Vandhal and there are also reports that the actor might join hands with Aramm director Gopi Nainar for a new project later.
