Malaysia’s top women’s doubles pair, Pearly Tan and M.Thinaah, produced a dominant performance to storm into the quarter-finals of the China Masters in Shenzhen on Thursday.
The world No.2 pair dismantled Americans Jennie Gai and Francesca Corbett 21-11, 21-8, in a match that lasted just 26 minutes, showcasing their sharp form and tactical superiority.

The quickfire victory provided Pearly and Thinaah a much-needed breather after a grueling few weeks. The duo have already played 11 matches in just over three weeks, including their historic silver medal run at the World Championships in Paris and a semi-final finish at the Hong Kong Open last week.
Their focus now shifts to the quarter finals, where they will take on either South Korea’s world No.7 pair Baek Ha Na-Lee So Hee or fellow Malaysians Ong Xin Yee-Carmen Ting.
With momentum on their side, Pearly and Thinaah remain firm contenders for the title in Shenzhen as they continue their bid for another strong finish on the BWF World Tour.
