Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, has assured that no one will be left behind under the upcoming Budget 2026, which is set to be tabled this Friday.
He said that proposals from the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) have already been submitted to the Ministry of Finance (MOF) following thorough discussions with Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick and senior officials.
“We cannot demand separate allocations for the Indian, Chinese, or Malay communities. Under the MADANI Government, we serve all Malaysians equally — regardless of culture, race, or religion,” Ramanan told reporters after flagging off the ‘Deepavali Food Basket MADANI Vanakam’ national convoy.
Meanwhile, Ramanan, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh, said the Deepavali Food Basket under the Vanakam MADANI programme involved contributions worth nearly RM2 million, made possible through collaboration between the Prime Minister’s Office, KUSKOP, and Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM).

A total of 16,600 B40 families nationwide are benefiting from this initiative aimed at easing their financial burden during the festive season. Additionally, 1,000 recipients from the Sungai Buloh constituency received assistance under Ramanan’s personal allocation.
During the event, Ramanan also presented food baskets to 50 families, each containing rice, cooking oil, murukku flour, adhirasam flour, dhal beans, and sesame oil — essentials commonly used for the Deepavali celebration, which falls on October 20.
