The Tamil Foundation has announced a fundraising event aimed at expanding projects related to Tamil schools. Established on February 14, 2004, the Foundation has conducted various programs and events that have benefited over 500 Tamil schools throughout Malaysia, according to the Manogaran, President of Tamil Foundation.
This year’s fundraising event is scheduled for October 11th at the Sungai Rengam Convention Hall, with more than 500 participants expected. The event will be led by the Deputy Minister of Education Wong Ka Vow.
The funds raised during this event will be allocated to the Foundation’s educational initiatives. These initiatives include contributions from parents for student welfare, leadership and administrative training for Tamil school principals, and improvements in Tamil language education. The Tamil Foundation is hopeful that these constructive programs will help preserve and enhance Tamil schools and Tamil education.
