The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) expects around 2.1 million vehicles to be on the roads nationwide starting 18 October, in conjunction with the Deepavali holiday.
To ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the festive period, Operation Lancar (Ops Lancar) will be carried out from 17 to 21 October. The operation will focus on major highways, federal roads, municipal roads, and known traffic hotspots across the country.

The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) will also be on standby to assist road users involved in accidents to help prevent further congestion. A total of 500 JSPT officers will be deployed nationwide during this period.
Meanwhile, PDRM is awaiting further directives from the Ministry of Transport (MOT) regarding the potential restriction of commercial vehicle movement on major highways during the holiday season.
