Cinematographer Ravi Varman Opts Out Of ‘Indian2’!

Shankar is currently in Andhra Pradesh; scouting for Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’.

The shooting is set to resume from August 19 and a major portion is expected to be canned in Andhra Pradesh, especially in Rajahmundry.

Meanwhile, cinematographer Ravi Varman seems to have opted out of the project due to the delay in shooting and also because he is part of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ which is expected to start rolling by the end of this year.

Rathnavelu; who earlier worked with Shankar in ‘Enthiran’ has been roped in to handle the cinematography.

A sequel to the blockbuster vigilante thriller of the same name, ‘Indian 2’ will see Kamal Haasan returning as the freedom fighter Senapathy. While Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in to the play the female lead and also undergone training in Kalaripayattu, an Indian martial art, veteran actor Delhi Ganesh is also part of the film. Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Aishwarya Rajesh, Vidyut Jamwaland Nedumudi Venu are also part of the cast.
