Filmmaker Sundar C and actor Vishal are a well-known duo in Tamil cinema, best remembered for their hit comedy family dramas Madha Gaja Raja and Aambala. Now, the combo is back once again — and their latest collaboration announcement has already set Tamil cinema fans abuzz with excitement.
Released in 2015, Aambala became a blockbuster featuring Vishal and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. On the other hand, Madha Gaja Raja, which finally hit screens in 2025 after countless hurdles, took audiences on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
The much-awaited announcement of their new film was revealed through a special video on Vishal Film Factory’s official YouTube channel, showcasing glimpses of their previous collaborations which has sparked anticipation for what’s next.
Currently, Vishal is working on his 35th film, Magudam, a multi-starrer featuring Dushara Vijayan, Yogi Babu, and others. Meanwhile, director Sundar C is directing Mookuthi Amman 2, starring Nayanthara in the lead role.
Details about the rest of the cast and crew for the upcoming Sundar C–Vishal project are yet to be announced.
