Batik Air has expanded it’s footprint at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, with the launch of four new direct routes to Singapore, Jakarta, Johor Bahru, and Langkawi, marking a significant boost to the airport’s growing role as a modern city getaway.

The announcement was made today, with Batik Air head of marketing Bavani Veeriah highlighting that Subang Airport is experiencing a vibrant revival shaped by it’s strategic location and renewed development under the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan.

“Subang Airport is buzzing again, and we truly excited to be part of this new wave of growth,” she said, adding that the central KL location, shorter travel times, and enhanced facilities make Subang an attractive choice for both business and leisure travellers.

Bavani noted that the launch of these four routes aligns with national efforts to uplift tourism and stimulate economic activity as Malaysia prepares for Visit Malaysia Year 2026. With Singapore and Jakarta among Southeast Asia’s busiest travel hub, the new connections open smoother pathways for tourism, business exchanges, medical travel, and weekend escapes.

The latest expansion adds to Batik Air’s existing Subang network, which already serves Penang, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Bangkok, strengthening Subang Airport’s position as a fast-growing aviation hub for domestic and regional travel.

To mark the momentum, Bavani also announced Batik Air’s “Save Big This 12.12” promotion, available from yesterday until Sunday. Travellers booking within this period can secure discounted fares for trips valid until June 2026, offering value for spontaneous getaways, family holidays, or long-planned travels.

With these new routes and renewed confidence in Subang’s regeneration, Batik Air is set to play a key role in shaping Malaysia’s new chapter of aviation connectivity, one that bring travellers closer to the heart of Kuala Lumpur while connecting the nation to major regional markets.
