Signature International Berhad Brings Christmas Cheer to Rumah Hope Through Thoughtful Home Makeover

Children at Rumah Hope received an early Christmas gift this season as Signature International Berhad unveiled a refreshed and revitalised living environment under it’s strengthened Signature Cares community programme. The initiative reflects the Group’s wider commitment to corporate social responsibility, sustainability and ESG values, with a focus on creating spaces that nurture comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for vulnerable children.

More than just a physical upgrade, the initiative took a holistic, child-centred approach. In collaboration with the Children’s Protection Society (CPS) and Makchic, the programme incorporated storytelling sessions, safety education, and emotional development activities, reinforcing the importance of supportive and nurturing environments for children to thrive. Adding warmth to the occasion, Signature’s brand ambassador Amelia Henderson, and brand celebrity Diana Danielle were presented, spending time with the children and embodying the spirit of compassion and community upliftment.

Over the past few weeks, Signature contributed a comprehensive range of home and living solutions to Rumah Hope, including mattresses, bedding, towels, curtains, appliances and loose furniture. These upgrades were designed to improve comfort, safety, privacy and daily living quality for the 50 children residing at the home. Both bedrooms and shared spaces were enhanced to foster a sense of organisation, warmth, and dignity, values central to the Group’s purpose.

Group Chief Executive Officer Lau Kock Sang said Rumah Hope was chosen because of the resilience of it’s children and the dedication of it’s caregivers. While early visits showed a home that was lovingly maintained, he noted that signs of wear were inevitable over time.

“We saw the opportunity to enhance these rooms in ways that bring greater comfort, privacy, and ease into the children’s daily routines. Better rest, better organisation, and a warmer environment directly support their confidence, wellbeing, and the dreams they dare to imagine,” he said

Rumah Hope principal Edwin Roch expressed his appreciation, sharing that Signature’s contribution has made a tangible difference to the children’s comfort, safety and dignity, further strengthening the home’s mission to nurture resilient and supported young individuals.

The transformation was made possible through the collective efforts of Signature’s community partners, who provided essential resources to enhance the refreshed spaces. The ceremony itself was supported by an event partner, helping to create a meaningful and joyful experience for both children and guests.

The initiative also marked the introduction of the refreshed Signature Cares identity, a structured, purpose-driven platform guided by four pillars: promoting responsible consumption through repurposing and reuse, empowering communities through engagement with employees and partners, supporting long-term wellbeing via safe and comfortable living environments and strengthening local collaborations with Malaysian brands and NGOs.

“Signature Cares strengthens the alignment between our brand promise – Transforming Spaces, Elevating Lives, Touching Hearts – and how we show up for communities.” Lau added, emphasising that the Group’s relationship with Rumah Hope will continue beyond this makeover, with future engagement planned to support safer, healthier, and more resilient environments for the children.
