The Perak State Government continues its support for Tamil school students’ education by cooperating with the Perak State Indian Education Development Authority (PSEIDA) which manages 2,000 acres of land allocated by the state government for educational purposes through an educational garden initiative said Dato A Sivanesan, Chairman of the Human Resources, Health, Indian Community Affairs, and National Integration Committee.
The Perak State Government allocated 2,000 acres of land in 2011 for the development of Tamil school students. To manage this land, the Perak Indian Education Development Authority was registered in 2013. By cultivating cash crops on this land, the income generated has been used to provide assistance to Tamil school students since 2022.

Dato Sivanesan spoke to the reporters in an event held at Ipoh at the state government office’s multipurpose hall after participating in the distribution of books to 134 Tamil school students from across the state.
This year, books costing RM170,000 were provide to all 134 Tamil school students in Perak. Dato Sivanesan also said that further assistance will be provided in the coming years.
